How to configure Wake On LAN (WOL) in Red Hat Enterprise Linux ?
Issue
- If the power goes down, the server will switch off, but when the power comes in, the LAN port goes up. Now the requirement is to switch the server ON when the LAN goes UP.
- How to configure Wake On LAN (WOL) in RHEL to achieve above mentioned requirement ?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (All Versions)
- NIC supporting WOL feature
