Issue
multipath fails to create multipath device with the error : "cannot get the the wwid for sdX" on VMWARE
multipath -v4 shows the following errors :
multipath -v4
-----snip----
/lib/udev/scsi_id exitted with 1
cannot get the the wwid for sda
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.9
- VMware 5.1
