Why the interface speed in 'ethtool' output is not displayed for the virtual machines running on Hyper-V ?
Issue
- Interface speed is not displayed in the
ethtoolcommand output for the virtual machines running on Hyper-V - Output like below is seen with less details as compared to that seen for a interface of a physical system:
# ethtool eth0

Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (as virtual guest)
- Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor
- Paravirtualized
hv_netvscnetwork interface
