Issue
- Network interface using the
bnx2xdriver intermittently drops connectivity - Seeing the following errors in messages:
kernel: bnx2x: [bnx2x_dcbnl_set_dcbx:2332(eth1)]Requested DCBX mode 5 is beyond advertised capabilities
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 (
kernel-2.6.32-431.el6series) and later - Broadcom/QLogic NetXtreme II 10GbE network interface using
bnx2xdriver - Software which impacts DCB (Data Center Bridging) mode such as
lldpad
