How to download the JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS patches

Resolution

Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7 have reached End of Maintenance support on June 30, 2025. Red Hat is extending support for Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7.4 via the ELS-1 support phase program. ELS-1 delivers Critical impact security fixes and selected urgent-priority bug fixes, if and when available. For more information about the ELS-1 Support Phase please see the Red Hat Application Services Product Update and Support Policy.

Starting from November 2025, patches released during the JBoss EAP 7 ELS period are accessible only to Red Hat accounts that have active JBoss EAP ELS Add-on subscription, such as Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform ELS Program or the <n>-Core subscription.

Using JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS patches in zipped version

The patch download page for JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS has been moved to the URL below, and access requires an active JBoss EAP ELS add-on subscription:

Using JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS in Red Hat Enterprise Linux rpm installation

The following dnf repositories, which can only be visibled by customers who have the JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS Add-on.

As an example, the following steps show how to apply the rpm patch on RHEL 8:

$ sudo subscription-manager register
Registering to: subscription.rhsm.redhat.com:443/subscription

$ sudo subscription-manager config --rhsm.manage_repos=1  # Optional: only for PAYG RHEL on AWS

JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS Container Images

On January 6, 2026, new repositories for JBoss EAP 7.4 ELS-1 were published by errata RHEA-2026:0163 EAP 7.4.23.GA OpenShift Image Release - one off - els. These images can only be pulled by Red Hat accounts that have an active JBoss EAP ELS Add-on subscription.

As an example, the following commands can be used to deploy it:
