ICE Driver: Erroneous Transmit Bytes Spikes in /proc/net/dev
Issue
- While monitoring the ICE device statistics in /proc/net/dev, a sudden spike in Transmit Bytes was observed, reaching approximately 13.7 Tbps.
- A review of the network statistics in /proc/net/dev further confirmed an increase of about 500 TiB during the event.
- The ethtool statistics from the interface don't show the same spike.
- The sysstat sar files also show this spike together with an impossible %ifutil value.
