xfs_growfs: XFS_IOC_FSGROWFSDATA xfsctl failed: No space left on device, starts occurring at precisely 4 TiB
Issue
- When trying to grow xfs on large devices/FS we hit,
xfs_growfs: XFS_IOC_FSGROWFSDATA xfsctl failed: No space left on device - When executing the
xfs_growfscommand one more time, it does not resize the device but prints the error. - This reported with 4 TiB and larger size.
- Some automation tools suffer due to this error printed.
