Unable to boot the system, permission denied for all services and commands

Issue

  • System is unable to boot at gets stuck at 'Failed to start udev kernel device manager'

  • Multiple services are reported in failed state.

  • Systemd debug logs shows permission denied errors.

    systemd [] : systemd-journald.service : Failed to execute command : Permission denied
systemd [] : systemd-udevd.service : Failed to execute command : Permission denied
  • When booted system in systemd debug shell, getting permission denied errors for systemctl commands.
