nfsd RPC fragment too large and RPC timeouts on clients

Issue

  • NFS clients gets RPC timeouts:

    nfs: server my_nfs_server not responding, timed out

  • The following messages appears on NFS server as well:

    server kernel: svc: svc_tcp_read_marker nfsd RPC fragment too large: 1048708

  • Issue is seen during I/O intensive operations.

  • NFS service managed by clustering software
