Starting pcsd.service is failed due to operation timed out

Issue

  • When DNS servers are down, pcsd.service cannot start with the following messages, but /var/log/pcsd/pcsd.log does not show anything.

    systemd[1]: pcsd.service start operation timed out. Terminating.
systemd[1]: Failed to start PCS GUI and remote configuration interface.
systemd[1]: Unit pcsd.service entered failed state.
systemd[1]: pcsd.service failed.
