DNS Option Timeout
Issue
When there are two or more dns servers configured in the /etc/resolv.conf
and the first fails, the default timeout to switch to the second dns server is 5 seconds.
If the command that uses the dns for the resolutions has a low timeout the application goes in error
If the option timeout:1
in the /etc/resolv.conf
is added to decrease the default timeout, that's not recognized from the local dns resolutor.
