Unable to start GUI with gconf crash errors on RHEL6 after reboot

Issue

  • After server reboot, unable to start Graphical interface and it displays the below error.

    There is a problem with the configuration server. /usr/libexec/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256.
    

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • gnome environment
