Installation of Oracle fails with Missing Requisite File "pdksh-5.2.14" in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7 ?
Issue
- The current version of Oracle 11G requires
pdkshto be installed as a dependency. The installation fails with the following message:
This is a prerequisite condition to test whether the package "pdksh-5.2.14" is available on the system. (more details)
Expected Value : pdksh-5.2.14
Actual Value : missing
- The package
pdkshdoes not seem to be available in RHEL6 and RHEL7:
# yum install pdksh
Loaded plugins: product-id, refresh-packagekit, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager
