Internal disk device is being detected as multipath device

Issue

  • How to blacklist local/internal disks from multipath.
  • The server has two internal drives, mirrored with the HP raid controller and presented to the OS as /dev/sda. Somehow, dm-mpio has created the inbuilt OS drives as multipathed devices. How do I remove the multipathed device for internal disk?

    # multipath -ll
