Can I prevent the "enough DIFFERENT characters" check when using PAM cracklib.so?
Issue
If I try and set a user with the password: bbbBBB11 I get this message:
BAD PASSWORD: it does not contain enough DIFFERENT characters
Even though I have the correct minimum (of 1) for lower/upper and digit.
Is there a way to reduce the type of checks the pam_cracklib.so modules does?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- PAM authentication with cracklib
