Issue

  • bnxt_en 10G NIC driver detects wrong port when using "ethtool -p"
  • For example, Physical server port 1 has blinked via "ethtool -p enp0s1" and cut the cable from the port. But not enp0s1, but enp0s2 goes down.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 (4.18.0-305.25.1.el8_4.x86_64)
  • Broadcom BCM57414 NetXtreme-E bnxt_en driver (4.18.0-305.el8.x86_64)
  • firmware: 218.0.152.0/pkg
