System responsiveness (shell, df, etc.) slow when NFS Volumes are in use
Issue
- A HANA system is fully utilizing its NFS Volumes during initial page load after newly being started (ie. mostly NFS read oprations) the system becomes laggy on the command line
- command like
dftake up to 20 seconds on a system where HANA database doing initial page load from NFS storage
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7
- NFSv3 share
- SAP HANA workload
