Yum install <package> is failing on the host connected to Red Hat Satellite 6 with an Error:could not load PEM client certificate, OpenSSL error error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory

Issue

  1. Yum install returns error "Curl error (58): Problem with the local SSL certificate"
  2. Unable to install any package from repositories.
Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms':
  - Curl error (58): Problem with the local SSL certificate for https://satellite.example.com/pulp/repos/<productName>/<MyOrg>/<RepoName> [could not load PEM client certificate, OpenSSL error error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory, (no key found, wrong pass phrase, or wrong file format?)]
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried.
