NFS mount fails in rescue mode with RHEL5.7 media

Issue

  • NFS mount fails in rescue mode using RHEL5.7 media. While before RHEL5.6, this behavior doesn't occur.
  • The following error will occur when you are trying to mount NFS filesystem:
sh-3.2\# mount 192.168.11.5:/share /mnt/nfs  
mount: Mounting 192.168.11.5:/share on /mnt/nfs failed: Input/output error

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7 and later
