How to create a backup EFI partition as /boot/efi2

Issue

  • We want to create a backup EFI partition as /boot/efi2 on UEFI enabled system.
  • We uses /boot/efion one disk is used usually. And when the disk breaks, the machine can be booted with/boot/efi2` as backup.
  • How can we configure /boot/efi2 for such a purpose?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • A system with UEFI enabled
