ReaR rescue image is not bootable
Issue
- ReaR rescue image is not bootable from UEFI firmware.

Upon inspecting the contents of the ISO, the efiboot.img file—which acts as the EFI System Partition(ESP) is found to be empty.

rear mkbackupoutputs "umount: /tmp/rear.gwFJBM9ela7W7fz/tmp/efi_virt: target is busy.".

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8 and 9
- UEFI
- Third party security software installed (Kaspersky Endpoint Antivirus, Symantec Data Center Security, Microsoft Defender, etc)
- Or, systems with high CPU counts and large memory capacities
