Solution Verified - Updated -

  • Upon inspecting the contents of the ISO, the efiboot.img file—which acts as the EFI System Partition(ESP) is found to be empty.

    [root@localhost ~]# mount /mnt/1/boot/efiboot.img /mnt/2
    [root@localhost ~]# find /mnt/2
    /mnt/2

    (Expected)
    [root@localhost ~]# mount /mnt/3/boot/efiboot.img /mnt/4
    [root@localhost ~]# find /mnt/4
    /mnt/4
    /mnt/4/EFI
    /mnt/4/EFI/BOOT
    /mnt/4/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi
    /mnt/4/EFI/BOOT/grub.cfg
