Why do I see messages like "multipathd: dm-42: devmap not registered, can't remove" ?
Issue
- When lvm volumes are deactivated the following message is observed in messages:
multipathd: dm-6: remove map (uevent)
multipathd: dm-6: devmap not registered, can't remove
multipathd: dm-6: remove map (uevent)
multipathd: dm-6: devmap not registered, can't remove
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- Device Mapper (DM) Multipath
- Logical Volume Manager LVM
