RHEL8.2/8.3: The pmie service failed to start
Issue
The pmie service failed to start as follows:
# systemctl restart pmie.service
# cat /var/log/messages
:
timestamp hostname pmie[33815]: Starting pmie ...
timestamp hostname systemd[1]: pmie.service: Failed with result 'protocol'.
timestamp hostname systemd[1]: Failed to start Performance Metrics Inference Engine.
