bnx2 Interface Intermittently hangs and rx_fw_discards is increasing on RHEL6.
Issue
- network connection hangs intermittently, ifdown/ifup cycle restores normal operation
'ethtool -S <interface>'shows an increasing number forrx_fw_discards

several kernels, including the RHEL6.1 GA kernel

- Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 12)
- when the problem occurs interrupts for the interface do not count up when packages are adressed to the interface (the assigned ip)
