Issue

• When trying to activate logical volumes, it fails to pass the activation filter:

  # vgchange -ay myVG
     Not activating myVG/lv1 since it does not pass activation filter.
     0 logical volume(s) in volume group "myVG" now active
  

• I have a cluster with HA-LVM, and have added standalone storage to one node and need to activate it, but get "does not pass activation filter".

• I'm trying to perform maintenance on an application, which requires access to the file system that is normally managed by the cluster and HA-LVM. How can I activate the volumes I need when there is a volume_list in place?

• Trying to create a logical volume fails with:

  lvcreate -n halvm -L 10G halvm
    Volume "halvm/halvm" is not active locally.
    Aborting. Failed to wipe start of new LV.
