Resolution

• Red Hat Satellite version 5.6 and 5.7 can not be registered with Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM).
• Red Hat Satellite version 5.8 and 6.x can be used with subscription-manager (RHSM)

If you are using Satellite 5.x, it is strongly recommended that you upgrade to Satellite 5.8 so that you can use RHSM.
