Issue

  • RHEL 8 install on EFI system results with grub2-pc RPM installed, and an /etc/grub2.cfg symbolic link pointing to non-exiting file.

    # rpm -qf /etc/grub2{,-efi}.cfg
grub2-pc
grub2-efi-x64

# readlink -ve /etc/grub2{,-efi}.cfg
readlink: /etc/grub2.cfg: No such file or directory
/boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.cfg
