rhel7: Increase in `kmalloc-16` slab leads to Out of Memory conditions on RHEL 7 server.
Issue
It has been observed a huge increase in kmalloc-16 causes out of memory on RHEL 7 server. There appears to be a slab leak.
Environment

Observed on the following kernel versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 as of now :
- RHEL 7.7 : kernel-3.10.0-1062.1.2.el7.ppc64
- RHEL 7.6 : kernel-3.10.0-957.el7.x86_64

dm-multipath:- device-mapper-multipath-0.4.9-127.el7.ppc64
- device-mapper-multipath-0.4.9-77.el7.x86_64
