Why does anaconda throw error messages "Unable to read group information from repositories" during installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 from a DVD media?
Issue
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 installation through DVD shows error: "Unable to read group information from repositories"
While RHEL 6 is being installed on a server using the RHEL 6 DVD image, it gives the following error and exits the installation.
Error message:
Unable to read group information from repositories. This is a problem with the generation of your install tree.<6>sr 1:0:0:0: [sr0] Sense Key : Medium Error [current]
