Why do I receive a warning message that my system is already registered with a different subscription management service?
Issue
- Either of the following error messages are reported when attempting to register a system:
WARNING
You're about to register your system with the RHN Classic Entitlement Platform.
But, You're already registered with the RHN Certificate-Based Entitlement Platform.
Except for a few cases, Red Hat recommends customers only register with one Entitlement Platform
OR
WARNING
You're about to register your system with the RHN Certificate-based Entitlement Platform.
But, You're already registered with the RHN Classic Entitlement Platform.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 and later releases
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7 and later releases
- Red Hat Subscription Management
