What does the 'Scheduling while atomic' message mean?

System becomes unresponsive or it is very slow. The message "kernel: BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/0x00010000/0" is getting repeatedly logged in
/var/log/messagesor in/var/log/abrt.log -
System logs the following message in
/var/log/messages:
kernel: BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/0x00010000/0
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (host)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 or 6 (guest)
- KVM virtualization
