"multipathd: overflow in attribute" messages occurring on RHEL6.4

Issue

  • Receiving the following overflow messages when FC transport disruptions are encountered.

'/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:03.0/0000:15:00.1/host6/rport-6:0-0/target6:0:0/6:0:0:3/state'
  • The system is built with RHEL 6.4 running the latest level of device-mapper-multipath (device-mapper-multipath-0.4.9-64.el6.x86_64)
  • The issue occurs when the state is showing "transport-offline" attribute.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.4
  • device-mapper-0.4.9-64.el6.x86_64
