"multipath: Failing path" and/or 'multipath -ll' shows one or more paths failed on a RHEL 5, 6, 7 or 8 server with device-mapper-multipath
Issue
multipathshowing paths failed- My logs show repeated path failures and I/O is blocking
- A server is unresponsive and the logs show repeating
multipathpath failing and SCSI errors
device-mapper: multipath: Failing path 8:0.
device-mapper: multipath: Failing path 8:48.
