Autofs managed shares are not mouting

Issue

  • Home directories not automounting after yum update.
  • Various errors are logged when retrieving autofs maps/
server.fqdn automountXXX: setautomntent: lookup(sss): setautomntent: Connection refused
server.fqdn automountXXX: init_ldap_connection: lookup(ldap): TLS required but START_TLS failed: Connect error
server.fqdn automountXXX: /usr/sbin/automount: warning: could not read at least one map source after waiting, continuing ...
server.fqdn automountXXX: problem reading master map, maximum wait exceeded

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • autofs with maps from LDAP
  • TLS
