Performance problems with flow-to-disk queues in qpid broker
Issue
We see a significant performance drop of message consumption when using flow-to-disk (FTD) queue in these scenarios:
- one producer enqueueing to FTD and multiple consumers dequeueing the FTD
- multiple producers enqueueing to a FTD and single consumer dequeueing the FTD
Message throughput of consumer(s) is e.g. 20 times worse than having single producer and single consumer scenario.
Why it happens? Can it be improved?
