startx fails when non-root users execute it.
Issue
startx fails with the following error messages when non-root users execute it
mkdtemp: private socket dir: Permission denied
waiting for X server to shut down FreeFontPath: FPE "unix/:7100" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.
