Mounting via nfs cluster ip was failing and netstat ouput showed a connection in
SYN_SENTstate to the cluster IP. -
When issue was reported the connection is still there in
SYN_SENTafter few days. -
Is this
connectionever going to terminate/timeout?
$ netstat -an | grep .112
tcp 0 1 x.x.x.x:816 y.y.y.y:2049 SYN_SENT
[1] Please advise:
- Is this a bug?
- Will SYN_SENT terminate itself?
- If not, how can we resolve?
- How can we prevent it from happening again.
Environment
- RHEL 5,6, 7
- NFS
- Cluster
