RHEL server running Oracle RAC reboots randomly
Issue
A Red Hat Enterprise Linux server running as an Oracle Real Application Cluster node reboots with logs similar to:
Nov 26 13:30:01 orarac1 kernel: VFS: file-max limit 65536 reached
Nov 26 13:47:12 orarac1 logger: Oracle clsomon failed with fatal status 13.
Nov 26 13:47:13 orarac1 logger: Oracle CRS failure. Rebooting for cluster integrity.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Possibly other versions too
