Active mode FTP data transfers fail with "425 Failed to establish a connection"
Issue
- All active mode FTP connections fail with a
425 Failed to establish a connectionerror:
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
425 Failed to establish connection.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and later
- firewalld firewall
- FTP Client using Active Mode (
PORTcommand, and Active FTP data connection from server to client)
