Input/output error when using SMBv2.1

Issue

When running an application on a SMBv2.1 file system the following errors are recorded:

Oct 19 07:12:35 server kernel: CIFS VFS: open dir failed
Oct 19 07:29:13 server kernel: CIFS VFS: open dir failed
Oct 19 08:41:30 server kernel: CIFS VFS: open dir failed
Oct 19 08:44:15 server kernel: CIFS VFS: open dir failed
Oct 19 08:50:51 server kernel: CIFS VFS: query directory failed

Oct 24 10:22:56 server kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in write = -5
Oct 24 10:52:22 server kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in write = -5
