Issue

  • IPv4 Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) is not enabled by default in RHEL 7 when the interface is managed by NetworkManager

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and above
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
    • NetworkManager-1.4.0-12 and greater
    • Releases prior to NetworkManager-1.4.0-12 did not do IPv4 duplicate Address Detection
