- The following message is seen on /var/log/messages and what does it mean ?
May 10 18:43:30 XXXX rpc.idmapd[2047]: dirscancb: open(/var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs/nfs/clntXXX): No such file or directory
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- nfs-utils prior to 1.0.9-70.el5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- seen on nfs-utils-1.2.3-39
- Often seen when using autofs / automount to mount shares automatically.
