'eth0: link is not ready' messages logged, but no issue present

Issue

  • The following errors are stored in /var/log/messages, however there is no issue noticed with the interface:
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth0: link becomes ready
kernel: IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready
