Kdump is not writing vmcore file
Issue
- When testing kdump by crashing server with
echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger, the system crashes However when attempting to write the vmcore file, a message is issued for fsck.ext4; the vmcore file does not get written; and then the system boots successfully.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
- Kernel 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64
- HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9
