Issue

  • Kdump is unable to generate a vmcore on ProLiant Gen9 systems with Smart Array controller firmware version 4.52

  • Unable to generate a crash dump. When a crash dump is initiated, the dump process fails despite kdump configuration in place. Expect to see crash dump in /var/crash after reboot.

  • Unable to generate crash dump on DL380 Gen9 and HPE Smart Array/HBA Controllers running firmware 4.52
