What JMX URL do I use to connect JConsole to EAP 6?

Issue

• The jmx client in EAP 6 deviates from the standard. Previously the connection URL was

service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://host:port/jmxrmi

but now it is

service:jmx:remoting-jmx://host:port

What is the reason behind this change ?

• Is the old connection URL going to be supported in a future release of EAP 6 ? We cannot use our standard JMX tools to monitor the application - we are required to use the specific JBoss provided JMX client.
