  • The crash utility fails to open the dump file of a guest virtual machine created using the virsh dump command without the --memory-only option.
# virsh dump guest guest.dump

# file guest.dump 
guest.dump: QEMU suspend to disk image

# crash -s guest.dump /usr/lib/debug/lib/modules/3.10.0-1160.80.1.el7.x86_64/vmlinux 
crash: guest.dump: initialization failed
