Failed to connect Host to Storage Pool: Permissions for DM devices not being set at boot by udev
Issue
A newly deployed hypervisor or a after a full system update of an existing hypervisor fails to to activate with the error: Task is aborted: 'Cannot find master domain' - code 304.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization <= 3.6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- RHEL-H 6 hosts
- Fibre-channel/iSCSI storage domain
- one of the following udev packages installed on the hypervisor:
- udev-147-2.73.el6_8.1 (RHEL6.8.z)
- udev-147-2.57.el6_6.1 (RHEL6.6.z)
- udev-147-2.51.el6_5.2 (RHEL6.5.z)
