Issue

  • Scsi devices/Tape drives attached through a QLogic HBA not seen and in syslogs the message seen are kernel: qla2xxx 0000:01:08.0: SNS scan failed -- assuming zero-entry result.
  • 3 tape drives connected to the QLogic HBA are not being recognized. WWN zoning is configured on the switch, yet the drives cannot be seen.
