Why is subscription manager not working correctly while using bluecoat as proxy?

Issue

• The customer uses bluecoat proxy server to reach the RHN Network.
• The webpages are opening in the Mozilla Firefox browser in the same server.
• System in question is behind proxy and firewall. Required host/ports are enabled through firewall .
• The rhsm.conf file is updated with appropriate proxy details.
• Customer gets following error while trying to register system:

Unable to verify server's identity: (104, 'Connection reset by peer')
